About the procedure

Procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy efficiency and use of energy from renewable sources in enterprises”. Grant for improving energy efficiency and promoting the use of energy from renewable sources in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

Open for applications until 13.10.2025.

Total budget: 126,000,000 BGN

Eligible candidates

1. Be traders within the meaning of the Commerce Act or the Cooperatives Act.

2. Be registered no later than 31.12.2022.

3. Are Micro Enterprises (1 to 9 employees), Small Enterprises (10 to 49 employees) or Medium Enterprises (50 to 249 employees)

4. Have realized TOTAL net sales revenue for 2024:

Micro enterprises ≥ 100,000 BGN

Small businesses ≥ 300,000 BGN

Medium-sized enterprises ≥ 1,000,000 BGN

5. To request support for the main or additional economic activity for 2024.

Amount of funding

Maximum amount of financing up to 100,000 BGN

Funding intensity: 65%

Example: 100,000 BGN (grant 65%) + 53,846 BGN (self-financing 35%) = 153,846 BGN excluding VAT (total project value).

Eligible costs

1. Biomass boilers (including biomass in the form of waste, but excluding biomass of agricultural origin)

2. Heat pumps

3. Solar systems for hot water and domestic hot water supply

4. Systems for the recovery of waste heat/cold generated in the production of compressed air or cold production

5. Recuperative units for heating, ventilation and cooling

6. Chillers

7. Air conditioning chambers with highly efficient regeneration or recovery of heat/cold/humidity

8. Energy-efficient air coolers

9. Compressed air compressors, including compressed air tanks (tank is not a mandatory element)

10. Centralized control of compressed air systems

11. Compressed air dryers

12. Energy-efficient insulation systems in buildings

13. Energy-saving lighting fixtures

14. Photovoltaic panels in combination with inverter/s

15. Local energy storage facilities (batteries) in combination with an inverter

16. Photovoltaic power plant (including solar panels, inverters, batteries and other components necessary for the operation of the plant)
