About the procedure
Grants for SMEs from the districts of Pernik, Kyustendil and Stara Zagora in the process of achieving economic transition. Enterprises (including start-ups) will receive funds for restructuring, diversification, technological modernization, resource efficiency, innovation, etc.
Open for project submissions until May 15, 2025.
Total budget: 250,000,000 BGN

Eligible candidates
1. They must be traders within the meaning of the Commerce Act or the Cooperatives Act.
2.Fall into any of the following business categories
Micro enterprises (1 to 9 employees)
Small businesses (10 to 49 employees)
Medium-sized enterprises (50 to 249 employees)
3.1. Existing enterprises (over 2 years) - must have achieved a total turnover for 2021, 2022 and 2023:
micro enterprise ≥ 100,000 leva
small enterprise ≥ 250,000 leva
medium-sized enterprise ≥ 800,000 leva
3.2. Start-up businesses (up to 2 years) – must have foreseen in their business plan net sales revenue for a period of three financial years, as follows:
micro enterprise ≥ 100,000 leva
small enterprise ≥ 250,000 leva
medium-sized enterprise ≥ 800,000 leva
4. Territorial scope: The project activities must be implemented in the territory of the following municipalities:
Pernik District – Breznik, Zemen, Kovachevtsi, Pernik, Radomir and Tran.
Kyustendil District – Bobov Dol, Boboshevo, Dupnitsa, Kocherinovo, Kyustendil, Nevestino, Rila, Sapareva Banya and Treklyano.
Stara Zagora Region – Bratya Daskalovi, Gurkovo, Galabovo, Kazanlak, Maglizh, Nikolaevo, Opan, Pavel Banya, Radnevo, Stara Zagora and Chirpan.
Municipalities from the Maritsa basin – Nova Zagora, Yambol, Simeonovgrad, Harmanli, Topolovgrad, Dimitrovgrad, Haskovo, Elhovo, Sliven.

Amount of funding
Maximum amount of funding:
Micro and small enterprises up to BGN 500,000.
Medium-sized enterprises up to BGN 1,000,000.
Financing intensity: from 30% to 100% depending on the category of enterprise, place of project implementation and selected aid regime.

Eligible costs
Eligible costs:
Expenses for the acquisition of machinery, facilities and equipment.
Costs for acquiring specialized software for the production process.
Construction and development costs related to investments for SME diversification.
Costs for renting work premises – up to 10% of the total eligible project costs.
Land purchase costs – up to 10% of the total eligible project costs.
Costs for services for developing new products/services – up to 20% of the total eligible project costs.
Employee training costs related to the investment made in the project.
Expenditure on technical assistance in support of start-ups.
Indirect costs – up to 7% of the direct costs under items 1-8 above.
