Maximum project implementation period: 18 months
Increasing innovation activity by developing innovations in the thematic areas of ISIS 2021-2027:
Informatics and ICT
Mechatronics and microelectronics
Healthy living industries, bioeconomy and biotechnology
New technologies in creative and recreational industries
Clean technologies, circular and low-carbon economy

Eligible candidates
1. Traders under the Commerce Act or the Cooperatives Act. Must have been registered before 31.12.2020.
2. Eligible categories:
SMEs (micro, small and medium-sized enterprises)
Mid-cap companies
Large enterprises (only in partnership with SMEs)
3. Have realized net sales revenue for 2022:
Micro enterprise ≥ 80,000 BGN.
Small enterprise ≥ 200,000 BGN.
Medium-sized enterprise and Small company with average market capitalization ≥ 850,000 BGN.
Large enterprise ≥ 3,000,000 BGN.
4. All sectors of economic activity, except those that are ineligible.
*Large enterprises are only eligible if they apply in partnership with SMEs.

Amount of funding
1. Financing amount from BGN 50,000 to:
Micro enterprise up to 250,000 BGN.
Small enterprise up to 400,000 BGN.
Medium and Large Enterprise up to BGN 500,000.
2. The maximum amount of aid shall not exceed:
Micro enterprises: 100% of the sum of net sales revenue for 2020, 2021 and 2022, divided by 3.
Small businesses: 60% of the sum of net sales revenue for 2020, 2021 and 2022, divided by 3.
Medium-sized enterprises: 25% of the sum of net sales revenue for 2020, 2021 and 2022, divided by 3.
Large enterprises: 10% of the sum of net sales revenue for 2020, 2021 and 2022, divided by 3.
3. Maximum aid intensity (%) under the "Aid for R&D projects" regime:
Micro and Small Enterprises: 60%
Medium-sized enterprises: 50%
Large enterprises: 40%
Maximum aid intensity under the "de Minimis" regime for all categories: 60%.

Eligible costs
1. Conducting research, testing, measurements and validation necessary for the development of a product or manufacturing innovation.
2. Creation and testing of prototypes and pilot lines related to the development of product or production innovation.
The above activities are implemented through the following eligible costs:
1. Remuneration expenses
2. Depreciation costs of own equipment and tools
3. Depreciation costs of buildings and premises
4. Costs for external services necessary for the development of the innovation:
Commissioning of scientific research
Acquisition of knowledge and patents
Consulting services
5. Material costs and consumables
6. Costs for industrial property protection at national and international level
